About this scholarship

Applications are invited for the Noel and Vivian Lothian Scholarship to support a student studying towards an honours degree or a research Masters or Doctoral degree. The scholarship recognises the contribution to ornamental horticulture of Mr Noel Lothian, former Director of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, and is to be awarded in his particular area of interest, that of development of Australian native plants for ornamental horticulture.

The scholarship is tenable in the fields of native plant biology and ecology or native plant horticulture at the University of Adelaide. For postgraduate applicants, the scholarship may be awarded as a supplement to an Research Training Program Scholarship or other major scholarship. Award of the scholarship is subject to acceptance for enrolment as a full-time student or higher degree candidate.

Value:  Equivalent to Research Training Program Scholarship

To Apply: The award is allocated as part of the Major Round of scholarship applications. All eligible applicants will be considered (there is no need to select the specific scholarship when applying).
