About this scholarship

These scholarships are made available through an agreement between The University of Adelaide and the Luong Van Can Fund.  The Luong Van Can Fund aims to develop a new generation of highly skilled professionals beneficial for Vietnam’s social and economic growth. Through its fundraising efforts, the Fund endeavours to provide postgraduate scholarships for outstanding Vietnamese students to study in countries with world-class education systems.

Up to 2 scholarships for Master of Philosophy / Master of Clinical Science students and up to 3 scholarships for PhD students are available annually.  

 

Admission requirements:

  • Applicants must have been chosen for a scholarship by the Fund, and
  • for research masters programs (Master of Philosophy, Master of Clinical Science) must have a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline with a GPA of 7.0 from a university recognised by the University of Adelaide; and
  • for a Doctor of Philosophy must have a relevant masters degree (which, includes, as a minimum, a research component comprising at least 30% of the total credit); and
  • must satisfy the University of Adelaide’s minimum English language proficiency requirements for direct entry into their chosen program.
