About this scholarship

The Frederick James Sandoz Scholarship is awarded in memory of the late Frederick James Sandoz who was born at Kent Town, Adelaide in 1888 and died in 1956. Mr Sandoz spent most of his professional career in the production and manufacture of dairy products, and their marketing in Australia, Asia and the Pacific Islands. The scholarship is open to commencing PhD students undertaking science-based research, either pure or applied science in any field preferably, but not essentially, in any of the following areas: conservation, the environment, animal welfare, dairy science or food technology.

Value: $29,790 per annum (2018 rate) - tax free (10% above the value of an RTPS).
