Consequently, music therapy is being embraced all over the world in all kinds of settings from hospitals and aged care facilities, to early childhood and community centres.
With demand for Registered Music Therapists (RMT) rising fast, our new Master of Music Therapy will prepare you to step onto this rewarding professional stage.

The Master of Music Therapy program at the University of Adelaide is designed to prepare students to work as a registered music therapist in a variety of clinical settings. The two-year program provides intensive academic coursework and supervised placement in various settings across all age range. The program also include courses that would prepare students for future research role. The four clinical placements provide students opportunities to work directly with clients in various settings. International students are allowed to do their final placement in their home country as long as there is a Registered Music Therapist or Board Certified Music Therapist to provide supervision. Successful completion of the program and placements qualifies individuals to be registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association as Registered Music Therapist.
