Course structure

To qualify for the double degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) with Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 120 units, comprising:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) courses to the value of 96 units, Core courses and Research Project up to the value of at least 75 units and Elective courses up to a value of 21 units, with the option of a major in one of the following:
    • Construction Management
    • Structures and Infrastructure
  • Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences courses to the value of 24 units as specified to provide a double degree with a major in either:
    • Computer Sciences (not available in combination with the Construction Management major) or
    • Mathematical Sciences
  • A total of 8 weeks of approved engineering work placement is required.
