About this course

Torrens University Australia's Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) is designed to make you an outstanding leader, ready to deal with a multitude of challenges in the ever-changing business environment, anywhere around the world.

It's study that suits you, with flexible online delivery taught by leading industry experienced lecturers, to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your career goals.

The Doctor of Business Leadership commences with 4 coursework double subjects. DBL Stage 1: Core double subjects - Business Leadership - Theory and Practice - Business Leadership - Case Analysis - Critical Reasoning and Ethics for Business Leaders - Business Leadership Issues After completing these 4 subjects, under supervision, you will evolve and critique (and, if necessary, re-think) a personal contingent leadership paradigm through documentation and analysis of personal leadership experiences. A personal contingent leadership paradigm is a set of theoretical propositions and personal values that logically underpin a set of guidelines that shape how you perceive and respond to leadership challenges. Leadership Critique and Supporting Portfolio: Under academic supervision, you must evolve and critique the personal contingent leadership paradigm developed during Stage 1, through an analysis of your personal leadership experiences. Guidance is provided in developing this analysis and the type of evidence that you may include in the supporting portfolio. External examiners determine whether you have made a significant and original contribution to leadership practice.
