The purpose of the Award is in recognition of the importance of the fieldwork learning experience during social work training. It also demonstrates the commitment by Alumnus for students in the Social Work and Human Services program, through encouraging and supporting meritorious students who display a commitment to social justice and are seeking financial assistance with their final field education placement component of the Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work Studies #24 & #32 (qualifying). The funds are to assist with the cost of transport or travel to the placement and incidental costs associated with accessing the field education placement.

Award value: $2,000 (approximate)
The value component of each award will vary depending on the number of eligible applicants and available funds, and will be no less than $2000.

The Selection Committee may decide to interview short listed applicants.
Relevant Program means Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work Studies #24 & #32 (qualifying) offered by the University of Queensland.
