About this scholarship
The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide assistance with tuition fees for high-achieving international onshore students commencing a relevant degree program at The University of Queensland in Semester 1 or 2, 2023.
If you're awarded the scholarship, the A$10,000 tuition fee reduction will be split into 2 x A$5,000 amounts and applied across the first 2 semesters of the program.
Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are an international student
- have completed your most recent qualification in Australia
- have achieved a competitive score as determined by the University when ranked among the pool of offer holders for programs in their commencement semester.
And you:
- have received an offer to study full-time at UQ commencing Semester 1 or 2, 2023 in an Approved Program. This includes most undergraduate and postgraduate programs with a few exceptions. Check the rules (PDF, 114.04 KB) to see if your program is approved.
- have satisfied the program entry and English language proficiency requirements
- will enroll full-time.
And you have not received:
- another scholarship from UQ
- a full scholarship or sponsorship from another organization (applicants with partial scholarships or sponsorships may be considered)
- Bachelor

Application process
You don't need to submit an application for this scholarship.
When you apply to study a program at UQ, you're automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
We will send you an email if you're offered this scholarship and let you know what date you have to accept the scholarship. If you don't accept the scholarship by the due date, you will not be considered for future scholarship rounds.
