Entry requirements

To be eligible for entry, you'll need:

Commencing UQ students:
  • a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, and
  • to satisfy the Executive Dean that you are suitably qualified to undertake study at the partner institution.

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.25 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.
Inbound students:
  • to be admitted to an approved program at a partner institution, and
  • to have successfully completed the UQ equivalent of 8 units in the approved program, with a grade point average (GPA) of 5.25 on a 7-point scale.

A GMAT is not required for entry into the UQ MGMan, however, some partner institutions may require a GMAT with a minimum score for entry into their programs. For these institutions, students must obtain the required GMAT score by the end of their first semester of study at UQ.
A commencing UQ student will be required to satisfy the entry requirements set by the preferred overseas partner institutions (including the GMAT with a minimum score of 600) before progression is approved.

International students who are accepted into full-time study in the Master of Global Management are eligible to apply for an Australian student visa (subclass 500).

The following supporting documentation is required for all applications. Please ensure that you have included ALL required documentation when you submit your application.

  • Official transcripts of previous studies.
  • Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis (if you are applying obo work experience).
  • Evidence of residency status.
  • Permanent residents will be required to sit an IELTS test if their prior studies were taught in an institution where English was not the language of instruction.

A student must, if required by the Executive Dean, pass a qualifying examination in any or all of

  • basic computing;
  • written communication;
  • basic mathematics;
  • basic statistics,
before enrolment is approved.

TOEFL iBT overall 100, writing 24 and speaking 21 meet the English Proficiency requirements for this program.
