The University of Notre Dame Australia Courses

Specific Program Requirements for Admission

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (Educational Leadership and Management), applicants must meet the following specific requirements.

• A recognised four-year bachelor-level teaching qualification (or equivalent) with at least two years of relevant professional experience, or
• A recognised postgraduate teaching qualification with at least two years of relevant professional experience, or
• A bachelor honours qualification in a related discipline, or
• A postgraduate qualification in a related discipline.

Advanced standing for courses in this program will be determined by the level of the subject, whether an equivalent graduate unit was obtained at another academic institution, and whether a similar unit was undertaken as part of an undergraduate degree. Applications for advanced standing are assessed on an individual basis.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education applicants must meet the following specific requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor's award (AQF level 7 qualification) in any discipline area OR
• Possession of a Graduate Diploma (AQF level 8 qualification) or equivalent in learning and teaching for higher education

Applicants must have a recognised bachelor's degree in any discipline OR have a Graduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching for Higher Education.

Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:

• Completion of a research Master's degree, appropriate to the professional field of the applicant (or equivalent) at a high level of achievement; or
• A Bachelor's degree with Honours (Class 1 or Class 2A Honours level or equivalent); or
• In exceptional circumstances, an equivalent academic or professional background that is considered by the Dean of the School and the PVC-R to be an appropriate preparation for independent study and research at a doctoral level.

An applicant may be required to demonstrate an ability to understand and communicate in both written and spoken English at a level adequate for the purpose of pursuing the program of study or as deemed appropriate by the Dean of the School.

The following criteria are required for a student to be admitted to the Master of Philosophy program:

• Possession of an undergraduate degree from a recognised university
• An equivalent academic background or extensive professional experience that is considered by the Dean of the School to be an appropriate preparation for independent study and research work at Master's level.

An applicant may be required to demonstrate an ability to understand and communicate in both written and spoken English at a level adequate for the purpose of pursuing the program of study or as deemed by the Dean of School.

The program is open to you if you are a Registered Nurse who has a previous degree or if you have accumulated a wealth of experience in nursing but have no degree.

You must be able to demonstrate two years of full-time secondary, vocational or tertiary level of study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or the United States of America. If you do not meet these requirements you will need to sit the Academic IELTS exam and achieve a score of at least 7.0 overall and 7.0 in each sub-section (reading, writing, listening and speaking) to qualify for entry into the Master of Nursing (Critical Care). This applies to Permanent Residents and Australian citizens whose first language is not English and have not completed two years full-time academic study in Australia. IELTS results will need to be verified by the Admissions Office before an offer of a place can be made. The Admissions Office reserves the right to ask for IELTS results from any applicant. Specific Program Requirements for Admission

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Arts (Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking)applicants must also meet the following specific requirements:

• Students must have as a minimum qualification, a recognised Bachelor degree (AQF level 7 qualification) or equivalent in any discipline area.
• Applicants without a Bachelor level qualification may be eligible to enter the Program if they have at least two years' experience in a related field. This would be determined on a case-by-case basis.
• Possession of a Graduate Certificate or Diploma (AQF level 8 qualification) of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking or a cognate discipline.

A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

To be eligible for admission applicants must be eligible for teacher registration in Australia.
