Flexible, well-structured and contemporary in its focus, this Master of Religious Education program appeals to experienced teachers who wish to gain a solid theological and educational grounding to become religious educators and school leaders.
The degree, which consists of eight courses, can be completed in one year of full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study. Classes are available in a mix of modes: Intensive (during school holidays), Semi-intensive (four Saturdays over a semester) and online. The study can be done entirely in external/online mode if this is more suitable.
The Master of Religious Education is designed to provide you with the maximum flexibility to choose subjects that interest you. In addition to the four core Religious Education and Theology courses, you are free to choose four electives from these disciplines. With a Master of Religious Education, your career options include teaching religious studies in Australia as a primary or secondary School teacher in Catholic, independent and government schools, depending on your teaching qualification.
