Do you want to create system-level change within society to tackle the issues affecting the health of populations? The University of Notre Dame Australia's Master of Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health looks at climate change, environmental degradation, and biodiversity loss and how they present urgent, complex challenges to human health and health systems. The degree is made up of three nested Programs. Upon completion of the courses for the Graduate Certificate, you progress to the Graduate Diploma and then to the Master-level award.

This new Master of Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health equips you with the essential public health skills and specialised knowledge to start making a difference. You will become competent in addressing contemporary public health issues and the challenges that climate change and environmental degradation pose to health and healthcare systems.

The Master of Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health equips graduates with the specialised knowledge, skills and attributes to examine and improve the health outcomes of populations. You will be able to describe and analyse health issues, develop ethical, evidence-based solutions and plan and deliver a range of public health interventions to effect necessary change. The program examines how climate change, environmental degradation and biodiversity loss present new, rapidly evolving challenges to human health and health systems, including the emergence of new patterns of disease. You will critically appraise the provision of environmentally sustainable health care and become an informed advocate for strategic interventions addressing the health effects of climate change and environmental degradation. The program prepares graduates to become involved in system level change within society to tackle contemporary issues affecting the health of populations.
