Are you a practising Registered Nurse looking to improve your career prospects with a higher level of formal qualification? Then The University of Notre Dame Australia's Master of Nursing (Leadership and Management) program is the ideal option. Held part-time across two semesters, this program allows you to extend your leadership and management skills in various settings. Contact us today to discuss your options.
The program is open to you if you are a Registered Nurse who has a previous degree in Nursing or equivalent, and have a minimum of one-year relevant post-registration nursing experience.
If you are a career-focused practising nurse who desires to operate at a more senior level, the Master of Nursing (Leadership & Management) is a valuable career pathway. In addition, you may wish to formalise your qualifications or develop specialist knowledge in a particular area of healthcare.
You can complete our Master of Nursing (Leadership and Management) over two semesters of part-time study. However, you will need to have completed a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management before enrolling in the Master's qualification.
You should discuss your study program with the School's postgraduate coordinator beforehand - you will generally choose a thesis subject relevant to your specialist area of nursing practice.
As a Master's student, you will be allocated a research supervisor who will help you choose a relevant research subject and oversee the completion of the program.
With a Master of Nursing (Leadership & Management), you can pursue careers as a nurse unit manager, nurse practitioner, nurse educator, forensic nurse, acute care nurse, or clinical nurse.
You will choose a research area relevant to your specialty of nursing practice.
Full details of the program requirements are contained in the Program Requirements.
