The Graduate Certificate of Media and Communication provides students with both theoretical and practical skills applicable to a wide range of media activities. It is aimed at developing the skills of those interested in working in media-related industries and enhancing the expertise of those already employed in industry. It has a unique focus on media theory, professional development and basic production skills.

Course structure

To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate of Media and Communication, students must complete four core units of study (50 credit points). Please note that a unit of study can only be counted once. Units normally carry 12.5 credit points. In each year, eight units normally constitute a full-time load of 100 credit points and four units normally constitute a part-time load of 50 credit points.

Credit for prior study or work

Credit is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Learn more about credit.
