This selective-entry, research-oriented honours degree is designed for highly-motivated students who want hands-on involvement in research projects.
As an honours student, you have the opportunity to engage with research groups and provide support for their projects. It's also a pathway into higher degrees by research, such as a PhD.
In preparation for a higher degree course, you will choose to major in one of the following areas:

This degree will provide you with the strong background in your discipline and in research practice needed for success in a higher degree. After graduating, you will also be qualified to work in a research support role in government, industry or academic research laboratories such as CSIRO, the Bureau of Meteorology, Defence Science and Technology and ANSTO. Graduates will be prepared with the research skills and advanced knowledge needed to solve real-world problems.
