About this scholarship

About the scholarship

This prize was established to recognise the significant contribution to the community made by the late Toni Dick, a graduate of the Faculty of Law at QUT. Toni Dick studied for her LLB at Queensland Institute of Technology, a predecessor institution of QUT, between 1981 and 1985, and completed the Legal Practice Course in 1986. Following her admission, Toni worked in private practice, specialising in the fields of family law and alternative dispute resolution, until her untimely death from cancer in late 2000. The prize is awarded annually to the student whom the trustees of the prize believe has contributed most to the community through volunteer or charitable work.
