Professional accountants are in increasing demand nationally and internationally by organisations throughout the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Graduates will meet the academic entry requirements for membership of CPA Australia, and enrolment in their professional program. Graduates may also be eligible for exemptions in the qualifying programs for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Graduates seeking to meet the academic entry requirements for enrolment in the professional programs offered by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) will be required to complete a minimum of 24 credit points (2 units) in addition to the requirements of the Graduate Diploma of Business (Professional Accounting).
The selection of relevant units can extend your prior degree studies in accounting to meet the academic requirements for enrolment in the professional programs offered by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA); or towards registration as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
If your prior degree is not in accounting, you will meet the academic component of requirements for enrolment in the professional program offered by CPA Australia. Graduates seeking to meet the academic requirements for enrolment in the professional programs offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) will be required to complete a minimum of 24 credit points (2 units) in addition to the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Business (Professional Accounting). The selection of relevant units may also extend your studies towards registration as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
Graduates who complete relevant units may also be eligible for exemptions in the qualifying programs for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
