Masters (Research)
The Master of Philosophy will allow you to undertake substantial independent research on your chosen topic while supported by a minimum of two academic supervisors. You will produce a research thesis (and if studying the integrated water management specialisation, also a coursework component) and your research will make a contribution to the current body of knowledge on your chosen topic. Research topics are available in most areas of research strength at Monash Australia including: Cultural Heritage; Environmental Sustainability; Interpreting Cultures; Philosophy and Bioethics; Social and Cultural Theory; Global Change and Global Security; Health, Wellbeing and Social Change; Performance. Similarly at Monash South Africa the MPhil has been developed to correspond with the strengths of the four schools there. You can select research topics in integrated water management, media and communications, criminal justice and criminology, international studies, philosophy or sociology.
