Drawing on the expertise of the internationally acclaimed Monash University's Gender Peace and Security Centre (Monash GPS), and backed by the strongest international research in the field, the Graduate Certificate of Gender, Peace and Security is a postgraduate gender studies certificate that will enable leaders to better integrate gender perspectives into peace and security policy making at all levels - local, national, regional and global.

With a focus on considering current peace and security challenges, and balancing scholarly background together with technical skills, you will develop an enhanced understanding of the gendered politics of conflict, security and peace processes. You'll gain training on the facilitation of women's participation in peace building and the prevention of conflict, violent extremism and insecurity. You'll also have access to industry partners through guest lectures and informal meetings to develop your networks, hear about recent developments in the field, and to understand the relationship between research and it application in the field. On graduation of this gender studies postgraduate program, you'll be equipped with the requisite gender-sensitive, gender responsive and gender-inclusive knowledge and tools in order to significantly contribute to the development of equitable, inclusive and peaceful societies.
