At no other point in history has our world experienced a set of security challenges to the extent it does today. Governments and businesses need security analysts with the advanced knowledge and skills to respond to such dynamic and complex challenges.

In this webinar, Dr Julian Droogan, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Security Studies and Criminology introduces Macquarie’s suite of postgraduate programs, explaining how they enable you to succeed in a career addressing tomorrow’s security challenges in the online and offline worlds, at local, regional and global levels.

Host:
Dr Droogan has an academic background in anthropology and religious studies and has taught extensively at postgraduate level. Julian’s research projects include a government-funded project examining and assessing countering violent extremism (CVE) in Australia, especially at ways that academics and industry can work together to produce CVE outcomes.

Julian has served on the NSW Premier’s CVE Expert Council and has made substantial and regular contributions to radio and television in both Australia and internationally, particularly on issues of countering violent extremism; radicalization and the Islamic State; Asia-Pacific security issues; and topics of global religion.
