You'll gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the importance of public health; and skills in leadership, teamwork and innovation; as well as practical skills that are essential to public health practice.

Key features:

Develop the evidence-based reasoning and informatics approaches essential to public health practice.
Identify and address Australia's major health concerns, including those relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Examine factors that impact human health, influence the global and social burden of disease, and contribute to health disparities.
Work in interdisciplinary teams to plan, resource, assess and evaluate public health advocacy projects.

Entry requirements

Entry requirement for 2 years (full-time, or equivalent duration if available part-time):

AQF level 7 bachelor’s qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent

or

AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65

or

AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent, and two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning

or

Eight years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning

For study duration of 1.5 years (full-time, or equivalent duration if available part-time), refer to course entry requirements.
