If you're an engineer who wants to specialise in the rapidly evolving telecommunication and network field, our Master of Telecommunication and Network Engineering can get you there. Communication and network technologies have changed significantly in recent years, and we'll give you the knowledge and practical experience to meet the challenges of this industry. Our course focuses on computer, internet, multimedia and telecommunication technology from high-level specification of telecommunications systems through to the realisation of communication circuits. First-year core subjects introduce you to fundamental areas including broadband digital communication, engineering practice and communication networks. In second year, you'll move into more advanced areas including personal mobile communications, antennas and propagation, and current experimental practices in electronics and telecommunications. A core subject is the design exercise, which involves using state-of-the-art software to design telecommunication, mobile and electronic systems. When you combine studies in network engineering you’ll be able to work in the design and development of new systems including computer networks, signal processing, wireless systems, and hardware and software development.
