Specialise in network administration with this two year Master of Information Technology (Computer Networks), enabling you to work across a range of businesses and organisations. Your studies will focus on data communications and networks, networks and system security, network design and management, application protocol, and wireless networks. Seminars on IT-related ethical, professional and social issues are a key component of the degree. As well as lectures, you'll have opportunities to complete a software engineering project, an industry-related project or write a minor thesis on computer networks. You'll graduate with skills in Java programming and the fundamentals of IT-related mathematics, algorithms and data structures, and system design engineering. Beside a strong practical grasp of computer networks, you'll also learn the skills to work effectively in project teams and how to plan and design networks. Our partnerships with universities around the world will give you an opportunity to study overseas.
