This 18-month Master degree and the associated Graduate Certificates have been designed to assist practicing health professionals, managers, board members, health information managers, and information technology professionals to collect, maintain and analyse complex health data and databases. The course initially focuses on the principles of data governance, and then assists students to access and analyse relevant health data and databases. There is no placement or practicum requirement, however Master students will complete a capstone research project demonstrating advanced skills in health data management and analysis. Those who complete the Graduate Certificates will augment their health professional and information technology and management skills to work with complex heath data in their workplace roles. Graduates of the Master degree will be fully equipped to plan, implement, manage and evaluate digital health solutions. The course requires the completion of 180 credit points over one and a half years of full-time study or part-time equivalent (for Domestic students).
