About this course

Cognate Students - 1. 5 years full-time or part-time equivalent. Non-cognate students - 2 years full-time or part-time equivalentIf you have completed a CPA accredited undergraduate qualification, you may elect to complete the six CPA Professional subjects in place of four elective subjects and two finance elective subjects. The learning and assessment materials for these subjects is provided under licence by CPA Australia and supplemented by face-to-face lessons designed by La Trobe staff. You must be a CPA Australia Associate member and will be required to enrol concurrently with CPA Australia in order to sit the CPA final exams, at your cost. The final exam for the CPA professional subjects is the official CPA professional accreditation exam set and graded by CPA Australia. Students failing to pass this exam on the first attempt will be offered a second attempt (at their cost) in lieu of a supplementary exam. To become a CPA, graduates are required to gain three years' work experience as well as completing the CPA program.
