This specialised program provides you with training in the practice of art therapy, which combines art and counselling within a clinical, therapeutic or community context. Art therapy is used for the treatment and healing of developmental, emotional and psychological problems or disorders. It is also used as a wellbeing intervention for groups and communities experiencing distress. Students who satisfactorily complete the first year of the course, and do not wish to continue, may exit with the Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy. The course requires the completion of 240 credit points over two years of full-time or equivalent part-time study.
