The Bachelor of Physical, Health and Outdoor Education is a 3 year (360 Credit Points) course that provides preparation for those wishing to enter the education / training profession. It covers a range of topics including environmental and sustainability education, safety and risk management, leadership, health, gender studies, exercise physiology, sports biomechanics, movement studies and skill analysis. The course serves as a pathway into a Masters Degree for those graduates wishing to qualify as teachers. The three Essentials - Global Citizenship, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Thinking - are specialist areas designed to give you an edge with employers. They will enable you to adapt your knowledge and skills to new contexts in a rapidly changing world. Subjects addressing the Essentials are part of all undergraduate La Trobe degrees and can be identified in the subject database by distinct icons.
