About this course

Your first year includes a range of health and human bioscience subjects as well as chemistry and food fundamentals, paired with an elective in your area of interest. In second year, you'll deepen your scientific knowledge through subjects in biochemistry, nutrition and disease, physiology, and how food functions in society. In your final two years you'll apply your knowledge in practical settings through more than 100 days of professional placement. This comprises 60 days in medical nutrition therapy (managing individual cases), 25 days of community or public health nutrition and 25 days of food service management. You’ll study with staff who are paving the way in dietetics and nutrition research as well as be taught by experts in clinical dietetics, public health nutrition and food service management. The course structure lets you complete the required subjects for this four-and-a-half year degree in only four years.
