This fund was established by the family, friends and colleagues of Dr Mark Patterson, a Research Fellow in the Graduate School of Tropical Veterinary Science and Agriculture who died of Burkitt's Lymphona in 1992 at the age of 32. The purpose of the fund is to promote research in the field of host-pathogen interactions within the Discipline of Biomedical Sciences.
This scholarship is subject to the provisions of James Cook University’s Coursework Scholarships, Bursaries and Grants Policy.

What would I receive?
The value of the bursary shall be the amount available from interest earned by the fund as advised annually by the Director of Financial Services. In 2016, the value is $6,000 paid in two equal instalments after census date of Study Period 1 and Study Period 2.
