Commonwealth Scholarships 2018

Commonwealth Scholarships provide eligible Indigenous higher education students with the general costs of study.

Commonwealth scholarships are awarded with the expectation students will achieve academic success and progress in a timely manner to complete their degree.

Indigenous Education Scholarship

Student type: Undergraduate

Value: $1,000

To receive payment you must meet all the eligibility requirements by Census Date (22 March 2018).

Am I eligible?

If all the below statements describe you and your current situation, you can apply for:

Indigenous Education Scholarship

• I am an Australian citizen.
• I am an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• I am in need of financial support.
• I am not in receipt of a Centrelink Start up Loan.
• I am or will be enrolled  in an undergraduate course (including the diploma of higher education), (as a Commonwealth supported student)
• I have not already completed a Bachelor degree and have not previously received a Commonwealth scholarship).
• I am or will be enrolled full-time.

No Application Required

You do not need to apply for these scholarships.

If you meet the eligibility requirements and are studying full time, you will be considered for the Commonwealth Scholarship.

You may be required to provide a statement to support your financial disadvantage status.

Payment date: After Census Date in Study Period 2

To receive payment you must meet all the eligibility requirements by Census Date (23 August 2018).
