The Graduate Certificate in Forensic Fingerprint Investigation is only available to specifically nominated officers in an approved police service who have been selected to enrol in the program as part of their professional training.

The program is based on the National Training Curriculum for fingerprint investigation. Students will develop and apply their technical knowledge and skills to fingerprint case work in order to make high level independent judgements and take responsibility and accountability for decisions and opinions.

Entry requirements

This Graduate Certificate will only be available to current serving members of an approved police service who will be nominated for admission by the police service. All applicants must:

  • be officers employed in the approved police service and
  • have satisfactorily completed initial training/Phase 1 proficiencies and assessments as required by the police service.
