This program is available to sponsored students only. You will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide counselling to individuals, families and communities across a wide range of issues and contexts. You will complete four core courses that will develop and enhance your knowledge about contemporary counselling theories and practice, intervention strategies, ethics and professional practice, and case management. You will develop and enhance your counselling skills that will enable you to deliver services and interventions to individuals, families, and communities. You will examine contemporary issues and contexts in which you will be required to apply your counselling knowledge and skills such as family relationships, sexual and other forms of violence, drug and alcohol abuse, disaster and trauma, and child and youth support.
