About this course

The Primary Health Care (Nursing) specialisation is specifically designed for our international post graduate students.   It aims to  facilitate the development of specialised knowledge of the constructs and contexts of working with individuals, groups, families and communities within a broad primary health care framework. Students can select topics from a range of specialisations including aged care, child and family health nursing, diabetes management and education, general practice and community nursing. Uniquely, students also have the opportunity to undertake an observational professional experience placement (PEP) in a South Australian primary health care setting. This will enable students to contextualise care in Australia and exchange information about nursing practices in their country of origin.
