About this course

Provides an opportunity for practicing engineers and technologists in the broad electrical engineering field to update and broaden their discipline skills to adapt to new requirements for professional practice.

A balanced approach between theory and practice is used in the course, giving students a comprehensive exposure to advanced concepts and techniques concerning the design and operation of renewable energy systems.

Students have access to a state-of-the-art teaching facility, equipped with a wide range of renewable energy generation, monitoring and management systems.

For recent graduates this course enables the adding of a second specialisation to a first degree, thus broadening opportunities for career development. For more experienced engineers, the course can contribute to ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and provide a pathway to adding a second area of accredited practice or to bring knowledge and skills up to date with modern standards.
