Curtin's Master of Multimedia Journalism (Global) will equip you with strong reporting skills and a background in international relations and human rights, preparing you to become an influential voice in an interconnected world.
Across two years of study, you'll gain journalism expertise across all media platforms, including online, radio and video, reflecting the versatility required in today's newsrooms.
Under the guidance and mentorship of seasoned industry experts, you'll build a portfolio of work as you report for Curtin's news website, Western Independent, and develop professional experience using industry-standard technology and facilities including our television studio.
Our formal partnerships with all major media companies in WA will provide you with access to valuable internship opportunities during your study. Imagine learning from industry giants such as Seven West Media, ABC, WAtoday or Network 10!
You can also choose to focus your skills in an area of interest, such as sports or political reporting. In your final year, you'll sharpen your research skills and analytical thinking through a professional journalism project or research dissertation.

Course structureThis course builds on our 1.5-year Master of Multimedia Journalism to include specialist skills in international relations and human rights.
Intermediate awardsYou may be able to exit this course early with a Graduate Certificate in Multimedia Journalism or a Master of Multimedia Journalism.
Further studyIf you choose to complete a research dissertation as part of this course, and complete this to a high standard, you may be eligible for entry into a doctoral degree.
