In your ornithology degree, you'll gain advanced knowledge about the foraging behaviour, breeding ecology, social organisation and movements of birds. You can apply this knowledge to contemporary issues associated with conservation, including those requiring highly specialised skills or technical abilities, such as bird census and survey techniques, avian physiology and genetics.

With an emphasis on Australian birds, this course consists of specialised subjects that focus on evolution, taxonomy, ecology, foraging behaviour, field survey techniques, conservation and management.

You can choose where, when and how you learn with online study. You can also choose to take between one and four subjects each session, depending on your other commitments. What's more, you can come back to complete your Graduate Diploma of Ornithology at a later date - with credit for your completed graduate certificate.
