Choose from five majors - Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Mathematics and Physics - and a wide range of electives, including subjects from Charles Sturt's dedicated interdisciplinary areas: natural resources resilience and productivity; data, digital and spatial science; and animal and plant biosecurity.

Entry requirements

  • A completed High School Certificate with the minimum ATAR required (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.
  • A completed Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the minimum ATAR required.
  • A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification.
  • 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification.
  • A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
  • Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Studying science online gives you the flexibility to study your way - with opportunities to get hands-on experience during on-campus intensive schools. You could also select some on-campus subjects, and gain authentic practical experience in our world-class facilities. For example, you could get hands-on experience at the National Life Sciences Hub, a contemporary research, learning and teaching complex established at Charles Sturt University's Wagga Wagga campus and staffed by leading scientists and researchers. Facilities include student teaching laboratories, collaborative research areas, controlled-environmental facilities, a glasshouse complex and quarantine-approved research areas.

  • IKC101: First Nations Foundations: Knowing, Relating and Understanding Country (8 credit pts)
