About this course

Overview

Help children thrive as a primary or early childhood teacher. Our fully accredited Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) gives you the expert knowledge to support, engage and teach young children in their most formative years - from birth to age 12.

In this early childhood teaching degree you'll learn different teaching methods to educate children from diverse backgrounds and guide them as they develop their unique learning styles from early childhood to primary school. You'll cover everything from child development and health, to discovering how to teach science, maths and art in stimulating ways. Then bring your learning to life on professional placements (we have a dedicated team who will aim to find you a placement in your preferred location). You'll also have options to study abroad. So you'll graduate ready to work as an early childhood educator - and make a real difference to children, their families and your community.

If you're an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) student commencing a full-time teaching degree in 2025, you could be eligible for financial support from the Australian Government. Through the Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships Program, you could receive up to $40,000 over four years to cover the cost of your study!

This course is part of an articulated program of study. Articulated programs allow you to build on your study to achieve the right level of qualification for you.
