This course is for anyone wanting to take the first step toward being ready to study an undergraduate degree. Plus, it's free to all domestic students!

Our Access Charles Sturt Entry course is designed to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to succeed at university, regardless of the last time you studied, or whether you finished high school. This six-month course will give you guaranteed entry into the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation - which gives you guaranteed entry and credit into your future degree.

Please note: The on-campus offering of this course is subject to minimum numbers.

This course is part of an articulated program of study. Articulated programs allow you to build on your study to achieve the right level of qualification for you.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Must not be currently enrolled in a secondary school or equivalent.

Minimum age requirement of 17 years in the year the course is undertaken.

Open entry with recommended prior attainment as follows:

  • Completion of an Australian Year 10 qualification (or equivalent), at least two years prior to enrolment,
  • Completion of AQF Certificate II (or higher) qualification,
  • Equivalent work or life experience.
  • Recommendation of Program Director, Enabling and Transition

Standard English Language Proficiency requirements may be waived on consultation with the Program Director, Enabling and Transition. This is on a case-by-case basis and other evidence of attainment may be requested. This waiver applies only to the Access Charles Sturt Entry course.
