Charles Darwin University (CDU) Courses

Successful completion of a bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification in any discipline with at least a GPA of 5.00. Completion of the bachelor's degree should be within ten (10) years prior to the commencement of the course.

Special consideration may be granted for applicants that completed their bachelor degree over the ten (10) year period, if they can evidence currency in the field. Applicants seeking admission on this basis, should include any relevant employment experience and/or additional study in their application, and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Completion of the below units undertaken in prior qualification(s) as evidenced in transcripts:

• Organic chemistry
• Inorganic chemistry
• Mathematics or statistics

To succeed in the Doctor of Pharmacy, it is strongly recommended that applicants have completed studies in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry prior to entry.

Prospective students should be familiar with the "inherent requirements" and "fitness for practice requirements" for the pharmacy course that outline the skills and abilities required to successfully complete their studies.

Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma or master's degree or equivalent international qualification in any field.

Fast-track (Advanced Standing)

Applicants who hold a qualification in a business-related field and have a minimum of four years full-time professional experience in managerial roles may be eligible for a maximum of 40 credit points of block credit. To apply after an offer is made applicants must submit the CDU eform, accessed through the CDU Portal, and provide further documentation in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV) and documented evidence from your employer detailing roles and responsibilities.

Applicants for this course must meet all of the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent international qualification; and
• Applicants must also hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 registered nurse; and
• Current employment in a medical nursing context is required. Applicants should include details of their relevant employment in their application.

Hospital-trained nurses with current registration may also be considered.

Applicants for this course must meet both of the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent international qualification; and
• Applicants must also hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 registered nurse

Hospital-trained nurses with current registration may also be considered.

The Graduate Diploma of Midwifery is a highly competitive course with more applications than places available. In assessing applicants and in keeping with CDU strategic planning documents, subquotas are available to First Nations Australians, and Northern Territory residents.

To apply for this course, applicants must:

1. Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse (with no notations); and
2. Have a completed Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent international qualification.

Applicants for this course must meet all of the following:

• Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent international qualification; and
• Applicants must also hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 registered nurse.

Hospital-trained nurses with current registration may also be considered.

Applicants for this course must meet all of the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent international qualification; and
• Applicants must also hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 registered nurse; and
• Current employment in a perioperative nursing field is required. Applicants should include details of their relevant employment in their application.

Hospital-trained nurses with current registration may also be considered.

Applicants for this course must meet all of the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent international qualification; and
• Applicants must also hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 registered nurse; and
• Current employment in a surgical nursing field is required. Applicants should include details of their relevant employment in their application.

Hospital-trained nurses with current registration may also be considered.
