About this course

The study of psychology is both rewarding and diverse, opening the door to a wide range of careers where you will make a meaningful contribution to the lives of others.

Bond's Master of Professional Psychology will provide selected psychology graduates with a Fifth Year of professional training in psychology.

The degree will incorporate both coursework and supervised training and practice with the aim to provide students with a thorough grounding in professional practice to meet the accreditation standards set by Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC).

On completion of this program, students will be required to seek a further one year of approved supervised practice, resulting in six years of education and training to be eligible for registration as a practicing Psychologist.

Applicants will need to have completed the accredited four-year sequence of a Bachelor's degree and a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science or the Honours year. At Bond, this sequence can be completed in 2 years and 8 months. You will also need to apply for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) before commencing the master's program.

Coursework and placements require students to attend in person on campus and at external placement location. Subjects are delivered via weekly classes and intensive teaching mode requiring weekend attendance.
