Designed for practicing tertiary educators, this programme will enable you to create learning environments that enhance learning and empower learners.
You will gain group facilitation skills, questioning strategies and learn how to use evidence-based principles and practices to design, facilitate, assess and evaluate learning.
You'll develop skills for using an inquiry process for continual improvement in your teaching practice, develop collegiality in your work environment and explore learning theories and models to inform your teaching practice and philosophy. The emphasis is on achieving the best possible synergies between the dual roles of educator and industry professional. Please note: You will need to be working in a tertiary or adult teaching environment with access to students, learning programmes and teaching opportunities.
Part-time up to 6 years.
This qualification will enable you to work as a tutor, teacher, lecturer in tertiary teaching and learning environments. You will also possess the skills to take on education leadership roles, or course and curriculum design roles.
