    Entry Requirements

    To be eligible for Admission to the course applicants must evidence:

    An appropriate undergraduate degree with Honours at a minimum level of Second Class Division A (Distinction average) (or equivalent), or;

    A Master degree with appropriate research training in a relevant field, or;

    An equivalent qualification and/or demonstrated research experience, with evidence of capacity to undertake independent research work (e.g. an authored publication);

    Meeting the eligibility requirements for admission is not in itself a guarantee of admission. The candidate's potential to undertake research, the quality and feasibility of the research proposal, the availability of appropriate supervision and the referee's reports will all be taken into consideration (refer to regulations 5.2 of the Higher Degree Research Regulations).

    International applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as published by the University (refer Appendix C of the Higher Degree Research Regulations ).

    1. Bachelor Degree from an accredited 3 year program in a Health Discipline or equivalent to enter the non-specialty pathway with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale; OR
    2. Bachelor Degree from an accredited 4 year program in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology or equivalent to enter the (Discipline) pathway, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4..6 on the ACU 7 point scale;

    Have a minimum of one year clinical experience in the appropriate discipline

    Be employed in the field unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator

    Demonstrate suitability to undertake the course:

    1. For the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy disciplines, applicants must hold current registration with the discipline specific National Allied Health Registration Board or required Authority in Australia, or Registration Authority in country of current practice;
    2. For the Speech Pathology discipline, applicants must have obtained and maintain eligibility to practice and membership with Speech Pathology Australia, or Registration Authority in country of current practice.
