    Entry requirements

    For entry into most USC undergraduate degree programs, you need to have completed a minimum level of education similar to successful completion of Australian Year 12 with good grades.

    Further studies, for example, a semester or more at college or university, can also be considered for entry and may give you credit transfer towards a degree.

    Some examples of upper secondary qualifications and a guide to the minimum grades that USC will consider are listed here. These are minimum requirements and do not guarantee entry. Some programs may require higher grades. Alternative qualifications may also be considered on a case by case basis.

    If your qualification (grouped by country) is not listed, send the qualification transcripts with your application form to the International Office for assessment.

    English language requirements

    If English is not your first language, you also need to meet the minimum English language requirements for your chosen program. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, you may like to enrol in one of our English Language Programs.

    Exemption for first year Mathematics

    High achieving mathematics students can apply for exemptions to introductory mathematics and calculus subjects. However, exempted courses will need to be replaced with engineering relevant courses to fulfil the requirements of the degree. Apply through the School of Engineering.

    (a) an entry to practice General Podiatry degree or equivalent recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
    and
    (b) unrestricted current registration as a General Podiatrist in Australia*;
    and
    (c) at least two years of relevant professional experience outlined in a curriculum vitae, including a cover letter
    * applicants must remain registered for the duration of the course

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants must:

    A. hold a current general registration as a registered nurse and an unrestricted licence to practice as a registered nurse in Australia, with no condition on registration related to unsatisfactory professional performance or unprofessional conduct; and

    B. have completed a minimum of two years' full-time equivalent (FTE) as a registered nurse in a specified clinical field and a minimum of additional two years' FTE of current* advanced nursing practice in this same clinical field; and

    C. have completed a postgraduate qualification(degree) at AQF level 8, i.e. postgraduate certificate or higher in a clinical field.

    D. provide evidence from an approved health care organisation that support the applicant and the practicum requirements, including supervision and clinical support for a minimum of 300 hours of supernumerary integrated professional practice during the course.

    Entry Requirements

    The Graduate Diploma of Midwifery is a highly competitive course with more applications than places available. In assessing applicants and in keeping with CDU strategic planning documents, subquotas are available to First Nations Australians, and Northern Territory residents.
