My Name is Tolulope Onayemi. I am currently studying nursing at the Cyprus International University. I am in my final year. I will be graduating spring 2019.
Nursing as a profession complements me. I have always been the type that renders help to people right from when I was young. Studying Nursing in my undergraduate level gave me the opportunity to contribute to how people can attain optimum health, which in the long run contributes to the growth of the society.
I have gone to the hospital for nursing practices every semester since the second semester of my four year bachelor's program in order to establish the knowledge of the basics and fundamentals of nursing and also introducing us to the admission and discharge process of patients in the hospital also making clear the difference between the in patients and the out patients.
I would love to either study nursing research for my postgraduate masters degree to enable me come up with more ideas on how to improve the nursing health care system and practices. My other alternative would be to study nursing anesthesiology, which will make me more informed on how to promote the application of anesthesia for invasive procedures in health care. Other nursing interests are orthopedic and neurology. These fields give me the opportunity to be specific about the care of the physical body and physical ability, taking into consideration the age of patients.
When it comes to health, I am very passionate about it. I have lost some close people in the course of starting my undergraduate nursing program, which made me very eager to start making a difference when it comes it health, illness and the recovery of people. I believe I can make a difference one patient at a time.
