Background: This scholarship was established in 2008 by a gift from Professor John Wong in memory of Professor Sir John Loewenthal.
Eligibility Criteria:
1.This Scholarship is offered subject to the applicant having an unconditional offer of admission or being currently enrolled in full time studies in one of the following degrees in the Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney.
2. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent resident or citizens of New Zealand or Hong Kong.

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $20,000 per annum for up to one year, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
