This course will enable you to align building operations with organisational priorities and understand how services and sustainable approaches add value and support corporate real estate objectives.

With extensive experience analysing and controlling the physical phenomena affecting buildings, practitioners of Architectural Science have a profound impact on the function, aesthetics and efficiency of architectural spaces.

Facilities Management blends the operational demands of a building with managerial responsibilities. Your Facilities Management studies are embedded within the widest array of building services and architectural science subjects, giving you an unrivaled strategic understanding of all aspects of building administration.

This course builds on your qualifications and experience through the addition of strategic management principles that drive high-performance buildings. You will learn to align building operations with organisational priorities and how building services and sustainable approaches produce value. This is supplemented with industry interfaces and practical case studies.

The course utilises experts from the industry to keep participants abreast of the latest technologies such as Building Information Management (BIM).

This research-led program is backed not only by the best of managerial decision making, but also by the science of building services. The program uses the Faculty’s extensive facilities, including the only Indoor Environmental Quality laboratory in the southern hemisphere. This facilities management program is the only one of its kind to offer this integrated, empirical approach.
