With the rising incidence of cancer across the globe, there is a projected shortage of skilled practitioners in the oncology workforce. The Master of Cancer Sciences, Australia's first cancer-specific, multidisciplinary, and wholly online program, and one of only two such online programs available in the world, has been designed to meet this growing need.

Developed in collaboration with experts from the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) and the University of Melbourne, you will gain an unprecedented breadth of integrated, cutting-edge, specialist cancer knowledge. This program will equip you with skills to produce high-quality research and deliver best practice cancer care to your patients in this rapidly-evolving field.

Career pathways

A masters-level qualification is integral to career progression in oncology and frequently required for accreditation. Upon completing the final thesis, you will move into the workforce having completed a piece of original research that utilised the latest biological evidence, and the practical application of advanced methodologies and analytical techniques.
