The Melbourne Business School Master of Business Analytics gives you the skills and knowledge to become a stand-out data scientist expert in not just maths and information systems, but also able to approach analytics with the strategic perspective of the business mind.

This advanced, one-year, full-time degree focuses on quantitative methods and the role of data in decision-making. Discover how data can drive decision-making through statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modelling and fact-based management.

You will learn from experts in computer science, statistics, mathematics and business management and become a skilled user of SAS, R, Python, Tableau and other tools.

The Personal Effectiveness Program, which runs throughout the program, will also develop your ability to communicate with confidence the business value of your analytics insights to decision makers.

What you will learn

The one-year Master of Business Analytics consists of five modules that develop your ability to apply data- analytic techniques to business problems.

You begin by looking at the analytics problems businesses face, then develop your skills in foundational and advanced analytics techniques, get to apply them to a real business in the Analytics Lab, and finish with a deep dive into using analytics in specific contexts, including finance, marketing and supply chain environments.

The Personal Effectiveness Program also runs throughout the program to develop your ability to communicate your analytics findings with senior leaders.
