A Master of Special Education (Advanced) is designed for international students who want to support individuals with a range of special educational needs and fill a much-needed gap for teachers in the field. In particular, this course focuses on problem-solving, informed by advanced theoretical knowledge, from a person-first perspective.
This course uses a Design Thinking approach to analyse issues and challenges faced by persons with a range of additional learning needs. In particular, it focuses on problem solving, informed by advanced theoretical knowledge, from a person first perspective. This is not an accredited Australian Initial Teacher Education course and therefore does not qualify the student to teach in Australia.
